On 4, June 2024, the official website of ICAI announced the SPMT examination. Self-paced examination promotes flexible and continuous learning habits for the students. The students should complete the target of 40 learning hours. The self-paced examination helps the students to gain deep knowledge in the related subjects. In the CA course, the students travel with the professors and faculties personally and professionally. In article ship training, the students spend more time on the job and less time on learning. Self-paced modules:
After registering for the CA final examination, the students can take up the self-paced examination at their own pace. In SET-A and B, the students should complete forty hours of learning. ICAI digital learning campus provides a SPOM dashboard. The dashboard shows the learning journey and the completion status of the students. The examination department of ICAI conducts the SPOM examination. The following points are worth sharing to understand the self-paced examination. CA final 2024 students are the first batch for the online self-paced examination.
- A desktop or laptop with a webcam is mandatory to attend the examination.
- A quality internet connection with a speed of 2 to 5 Mbps is an essential one.
- The ICAI login details will have an SSP profile photo. The digital learning hub will compare the photo of the student with the old one. The students should have proper light over the face to complete the face identification.
- The webcam frame monitors the student throughout the examination. The student should not move out of the frame. The CA final registration form consists of details of subjects in a self-paced online module examination. The students can select the subjects during the CA final registration.
- SET-A and B have two subjects. SET-C and D have fourteen subjects.
- The students receive video lectures, physical study materials and e-books in the digital learning portal. The BoS knowledge portal has the study materials of all the subjects in the self-paced examination.
- The students require expert knowledge to complete the SET-A and B. The students require working knowledge to complete the SET-C and D.
- The students can take N number of attempts to complete the self-paced modules. The pass mark is fifty. The number of attempts gives flexibility and clarity to the students appearing in the CA final examination.
- Passing a self-paced examination is mandatory. The aggregate marks of the CA final do not include the self-paced examination marks.
- The system requirement for attending the self-paced examination is as follows: Google web browser, dual-care or higher, RAM: 2GB or higher, and webcam.
- The subjects in SET-C are risk management, public finance and government accounting, sustainable development and sustainability reporting, insolvency and bankruptcy code, 206, international taxation, forensic accounting, arbitration and conciliation act, 1996, valuation, forex and treasury management, financial services and capital markets.
- The subjects in SET-D are psychology and philosophy, the constitution of India and the art of advocacy, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem, and digital ecosystem and controls.
- All four sets carry a hundred marks. The duration of the examination is forty for the first two sets. Twenty for the rest two sets of self-paced examinations.
