Eligibility

Candidates must have completed the CS Foundation Course or hold a degree in any discipline (except Fine Arts).

Direct Entry into the CS Executive Programme

Candidates can gain direct entry into the CS Executive Programme if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Professional Exams: Individuals who have passed the entrance exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are eligible for direct registration.
• Graduates: Any graduate with a degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., or in any discipline excluding Fine Arts) can also enroll directly.
• Exemptions: Candidates who have passed an equivalent examination recognized by the ICSI, such as the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of ICAI or the Foundation Examination of ICMAI, are exempt from the Foundation Programme and may register directly for the Executive Programme.

Subject

The CS Executive Course consists of two modules, each covering important subjects:

Module I

• Jurisprudence, Interpretation & General Laws
• Company Law
• Setting up of Business Entities & Closure
• Tax Laws

Module II

• Corporate & Management Accounting
• Securities Laws & Capital Markets
• Economic, Business & Commercial Laws
• Financial & Strategic Management

Examination Details

• Examinations: The exams are conducted twice a year, typically in June and December.
• Passing Criteria: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% across the entire module.

Practical Training

After completing the Executive Course, candidates are required to undergo practical training for 15 months, working under a practising Company Secretary or within a corporate entity.
