
An 18-year-old student from Arakkonam, V Roshini, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 18 in the January 2026 CA Foundation Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Roshini scored 341 out of 400 marks, placing her among the top 20 rank holders in INDIA in the national-level examination.
A resident of Sakthi Nagar, Arakkonam, Roshini completed her schooling at Dr. VGN School, Arakkonam, and is currently pursuing her B. Com at AMET University while continuing her Chartered Accountancy journey.
In the subject-wise marks, she scored 91 in Business Economics, 89 in Quantitative Aptitude, 83 in Accounting, and 78 in Business Law, reflecting consistent performance across all papers.
Roshini comes from a modest background. Her father works as a gold appraiser in a private bank and is the sole earning member of the family. Despite coming from a semi-urban background, she achieved national recognition through hard work, discipline, and focused preparation.
She underwent coaching at RR Academy, Chennai, a reputed institute known for its structured training for professional courses such as CA, CMA, and CS. The academy is recognized for its concept-based teaching, regular mock examinations, individual mentoring, and rigorous practice sessions, which help students develop strong fundamentals and exam-oriented preparation.
Faculty members at RR Academy stated that Roshini showed remarkable dedication, consistency in attending classes, and strong performance in weekly tests and mock examinations, which contributed significantly to her success. They added that the academy continues to guide many students from different backgrounds to achieve success in professional courses.
The CA Foundation examination, conducted by ICAI, is the entry-level examination for the Chartered Accountancy course in India and consists of four papers: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude (including Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Statistics), and Business Economics.
